Since my birth my parents were affiliated with some so called sufi-saint who used to visit our village and provide guidance and ‘Taveez’ to the villagers for the sake of getting money. My mother used to tell me that it is imperative to have a sheikh (peer) for better guidance in the life.

As the time passed I realized the necessity of having someone as a role model for guidance. One of my friends had the same desire so we started our search together. We went to numerous shrines and mosques till we find a saint who told us to start reciting some quranic verses (wazeefa) for the next 40 days. I was reciting the verses when one day I realized that my friend who was with me in the same exercise disappeared. After a few days he came back to the college and told me that he has grown a beard. He also told me that during the second week of the wazeefa Hazrat Umar R.A came into his dream and strictly ordered him to stop reading the wazifa as he is without a beard which is against the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. As soon as he woke up he decided to keep the beard. The next day we told the whole story to the saint who was shocked too.

I kept my search going for a true spiritual teacher and during the search I went to the ‘Pak-Patan Urss’ thrice and I went through the ‘Bahishti Darvaza’. During my last visit I noticed a saint with four girls who were decorating his dress and putting makeup on his face. I was told by some ‘mureeds’ that these girls are not the wives of the so called saint. I left the place as soon as I noticed this ‘khilaf-e-sunnah’ act and went to ‘Data darbar Lahore’ to seek guidance. I noticed some rituals that were directly contradictory with the religion so I came back from there too. I went to ‘Golarah Sharif’ and asked for spiritual guidance but the person in charge gave me a ‘taveez’ instead of replying to my query of “Allah Allah seekhnay aya hun – koi hai jo mjhy Allah Allah sikhaay?” Then I went to Wah cantt as I was got hired by some organization.

After some days I joined ‘Toheedi Silsala’ and remained with them for the next six years. I learned a lot from them and I learned ‘Allah ka Zikar’. I used to feel my spirit going to Masjid-e-nabvi but not beyond that which made me curious and annoyed. A guy who used to accompany me during our meditation classes disappeared from the classes after some days. He was also my colleague in the office; so upon my query he told me that he was coming back to Wah Cantt from Lahore via Kalar Kahar when a guy sat beside him in the bus. The guy convinced him to do Allah’s Zikar (zikar-e-Qalbi). My colleague told me that he did the zikar for some days when he met Prophet Muhammad PBUH in his dream. He started weeping as he told me his story so I was impressed. I went to Maj. Ahmed Khan who was also doing the same zikar and who was from the same group (silsala naqshbandia owaisia); luckily who was living near my place. After a few days (in 1975) he took me to Chakrala where his sheikh (Hazrat Allah yaar Khan) used to live. Hazrat gee placed his hand over my heart and my heart started the Zikar as soon as it was touched by him.

I came back as a different person; I was changed into a person who was a true follower of Sahriah and I started following all those Sunnat-e-nabvi that were previously missing from my daily life. During the Qalbi Zikar with Hazrat Allah Yaar Khan I noticed my spirit at the ‘makam-e-Ahdiat’ with other people who were doing the Zikar. Now I am a follower of his student Hazrat Ameer Muhammad Akram Awan M.A. He is the true source of Barkat-e-Nabvi in today’s world. I am still doing Zikar-e-Qalbi regularly. Everyday people come to my place or I go to theirs to do the Zikar Allah. May God bless him? Ameen.

I just want to say, “Any person who wishes to get true path in Tasawuf should pray from Allah from the core of his heart and I am sure he will be directed to the right path one day.”
