- Snow in the Cotswolds
꧁༺ «I love looking at all the wonderful scenery around the Cotswolds!
The UK is a beautiful place to visit any time of year, but there's something about winter that brings out its true magic. Snow-covered thatched roofs, frozen meadows and outdoor ice rinks give a feeling of celebration and fun.
The Cotswolds are a region well known for its lazy weekends in summer and/or for spending a day wandering through the countryside and small villages and tasting the local specialties!
But in winter, this landscape takes on a completely different aspect when the countryside is covered in a thick layer of snow.
The Cotswolds are beautiful, especially when the small ancient towns are covered in snow. Grab a sleigh and head into the hills near Broadway Tower or don hiking boots to admire the shimmering meadows of the Malvern Hills.
Then head to the real tourist sites of the region: its fairytale villages. Cobbled lanes, honey-colored stone buildings and quaint thatched cottages adorn each town, adding greatly to the region's charm.
Like Castle Combe, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water and Painswick are charming at any time, but are even more phenomenal with these winter landscapes.
After your walk, warm up by the campfire with a hot chocolate ༻꧂
